濟南瀝青材料是一些極其復(fù)雜的高分子碳氫化合物與其他非金屬(氧、硫、氮)衍生物所組成的混合物，其中碳占80％一87％，氫占10％～15％，氧、硫、氮小于0．3％，此外還有少量微量金屬元素。石油瀝青化學組分按四組分法可分為飽和分、芳香分、膠質(zhì)和瀝青質(zhì)。

焦油瀝青是各種有機物(煤、泥炭、木材等)干餾加工得到的焦油，經(jīng)再加工而得到的半成品，我國常用的焦油瀝青是煤瀝青。

目前，我國在煉油廠中生產(chǎn)瀝青的主要工藝方法有：蒸餾法、氧化法、半氧化法、溶劑脫瀝青法和調(diào)配法等，由于制造方法不同，瀝青性質(zhì)有很大差異。
